Easy Answer lets you answer and end calls effortlessly without touching the screen.

When you receive a call, just raise the phone to your ear and it will be answered automatically. When you're done, simply shake the phone to end the call.

Whether you're biking, wearing gloves or keeping your eye on the road, these gestures can come in handy. If you wish, double-pressing the power key can also be used to answer or end calls.

Firewall+ Pro for Nokia N9(50) can prevent unwanted call and SMS quietly, automatically and flexibly. Based on blacklist and whitelist, which support import from call log, SMS log and Contacts, flexible block rules can be applied as you want. With schedule mode, Time based rules are allowed, so set it up and forget! Also, rich blocked log informations and number matched count can be saved for checking.

[MeeGo Harmattan] Who Called Me?

Probably you are receiving sms messages from mobile operator with missed call notification. In that message is written missed call number, but not the contact name.

Who Called Me helps you to find out contact name by searching that number in your phone address book. The application gives you an option of callback or you can simply answer with sms.

Another concrete usage is when friend asks you “Do you know whose number is this? Do you have it in your address book?“

[MeeGo Harmattan] SoWatch : Notification forwarding to Fossil Metawatch !

Currently, Sowatch only supports the Digital MetaWatch.

It is able to set the watch’s time to the phone time.
- On the watch’s idle screen, counts for missed call, mail, and messaging notifications are shown.
- Ringing notifications are working, as well as missed call, emails and messaging.
- Pressing the A button on a notification discards it
- The A button also cycles between all watchlets and the idle screen.

scm is a GUI for making Shortcuts for your Desktop so it's an interesting way to create a desktop shortcut to a specific SMS conversation if there's one person you interact a lot with by SMS, so you have a shortcut to that "conversation" directly, but that's not all, you can use this also for phonecalls, emails etc !

A very cool feature that i missed from Symbian : you don't have to hold the phone to your ear while waiting for the call to be connected.. You can call and hold the phone down.. when it vibrates, bring it up to your ear and talk ! That's all about out-call-vibro

K9 Call  is a widget that use a T9 inspired method of contact lookup, if you want to lookup someone who goes by the name "Test Unicode" for example, you would type in 8378 for (Test)

FlexiSPY : Very First Spy Application For Maemo 5 !

So far there hasn’t been any spy phone vendors willing to allocate the resources needed to create Maemo spy phone software due to the small number of handsets in the marketplace.

Ringtoned : Custom ringtones for your contacts (Per contact) !

If MyContacts allowed a custom ringtone per group, then finally, ringtoned, i.e. ringtone daemon, allows setting a custom ringtone for specific contacts. Ringtoned tries to integrate nicely with the system:

- You can select the default ringtone in Settings → Profiles as usual
- To set a custom ringtone you go to the Contacts application, select the contact and press the new “Set custom ringtone” button in the menu
- The dialog to set custom ringtones tries to be a perfect copy of the dialog to set the global ringtone
- It works both for normal phone calls and GTalk/SIP/Skype calls, thanks to Telepathy
- The ringtone is played only when the normal one would be played and at the same volume, thanks to some PulseAudio magic

Queen BeeCon Widget - On Desktop Dialer Widget !

Queen BeeCon Widget is a highly customizable and flexible widget-based multi-instance monitoring, alerting and interactive tool for Maemo 5 Fremantle and the N900, like the Desktop Command Execution Widget !

The Widget is based on the execution of external Shell/OS Commands which can be either as simple as one-liner statements or as complex as articulated shell scripts, which, for example, fetch, parse and aggregate contents retrieved from the system, other applications or the Internet.

Anyway now you can Customize Queen BeeCon Widget (>=v0.1.9.6) to display: On Desktop Dialer Widget, ie.
The Beecons will let you dial phone numbers straight from you desktop !

Horizontal-Call : Call people in your contact list without HW keyboard, easily and fast !

Horizontal-Call allows you to call people in your contact list without HW keyboard, easily and fast !

Motivation :
- When the phone is mounted in the car, in landscape mode, there is no simple way of searching for a contact, and dialing it.
- Contacts on the hildon-desktop force you to pre-configure it, and are limited to a number of contacts, according to available space.

Description :
- The application loads the contacts into a a list.
- It then displays buttons with letters to reach the 1st char of each contact - This means that if no contacts start with the Letters "G, X and Z" those buttons won't appear, giving more room for the rest of the buttons.
- After 1 press, the buttons are recreated with the 2nd index letter, and so forth.
- The list is constantly filtered on the right, allowing the selection of the contact when found.

Features :
- Written with QtMobility/C++
- Big fonts
- Easy, fast searching.
- Uses Dbus to dial the numbers providing the usual phone interface.

Limitations :
- Due to QtMobility bugs, only English contacts will be displayed at the moment. (Help in this area is appreciated)
- Only "PhoneNumber" contacts will be displayed, this mean, no skype/gtalk contacts at the moment. (Don't know the dbus calls to dial skype calls).
- Loading contacts after the application starts takes about 3 seconds, this is a QtMoblity limitation which I will be able to solve soon by caching the contacts.
- The application is not in devel yet, I am waiting for Upload Request Approval on this.

TODOs :
- Solve the limitations (:
- Move the stylesheet out of the code, to external file, allowing people to edit it.

Bugs to solve :
- libqtm-contacts is not installed automatically.
- None matching numbers to contacts
- Odd numbers instead of phone numbers.

Maenotify : last missed calls and sms on the screen when it's locked !

Like in the upcoming PR1.2, maenotify shows the last three missed calls/sms (with names of contact) when the device is locked, without requiring to unlock it.
